Collaborate with stakeholders and the rest of the product development team to define requirements, acceptance criteria, and milestones for software projects.
Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback.
Design all visual elements and interactions based on high-level requirements.
Create design artifacts (e.g. wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and process flows) as needed to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
Stay up to date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies.
Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards.
Provide coarse-grained estimates for the delivery of design artifacts based on requirements and acceptance criteria. Proactively communicate to management and other stakeholders if and when estimates are shown to be inaccurate.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that releases meet the established requirements and acceptance criteria.
Understand regulations pertinent to the software being developed and ensure compliance with said regulations, including ERISA, HIPAA and PCI.
2+ years of relevant design experience, as demonstrated by a design portfolio review.
Excellent communication skills.
Copywriting experience is a plus.
Relevant small business and HR industry experience is a plus.
